Less Magna Carta and more back of a matchbox. Don't be too clever just keep it simple.


Simple is a good word as is fun, we like memorable and we love succinct. Your brief is the match that will spark all that amazing content creation.


You want people to be creative so speak to them in a creative way. Creative people like pictures, colours or inspiring examples not endless paragraphs of text.


It's not all about the money but the more you can offer in return for Tikks, usually, the more Tikks you'll get.


Look at what's out there content wise, what made you laugh, sit up, say 'Wow' or even switch off and build a pinch of it into your brief.


KEEP IT BRIEF


Briefs can be as complicated or as simple as you make it. Here are a few simple things to include:

 

OBJECTIVE


You know what you want, now you just need to know how to ask for it. You might want Tikklrs to tell you how great something is. Tell us how it is, tell me why you think this is great or tell me how it made you feel. Make your objectives feel inclusive, you're asking not telling.

 

CREATIVE REFERENCES


Think about the style, tone, look and feel you are looking for. Make full use of all the great work that's already out there and include some great examples, it's easy to include video or stills with a Tikklr brief.

 

DELIVERABLES


What do you want? A piece of amazing photography or a piece of video content that says it all, if the latter, then how long do you want it to be (30 seconds is a good rule). You can specify if you want text, audio or commentary too.


TIMING


Include a realistic deadline and make sure it's enough time for people to create an amazing Tikk.

 


And most importantly...

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Make sure you're voucher excites people and gets them wanting to Tikk and feeling good about it.
